My Darling Chinoz .. Hope He Get Well Soon.

Day 55, 06th December 2009. Sunny.

I'm feeling a little down since last Friday (two days ago) and it got worse today. My darling puppy, Chinoz, wasn't feeling well since last Thursday night. He purged, vomited quite often and not eating at all. Cousin took him to the vet on Friday noon. He was given a shot (injection) and some medications to make him feel better. On Saturday, he still wasn't looking any good, so we decided to bring him back to the vet for a 2nd check. Doc gave him another shot and some 'oral salt' (to be mixed in a glass of water for him to drink) to prevent him from dehydrated. Yet, three hours later, he's still purging and vomitting.

And so, Chinoz was admitted to the vet and was given IV fluids (intravenous - into the bloodstream via a vein) over night. This could help him from being dehydrated. He was also given some Antibiotic therapy as well to stop the vomiting and so that, by then, Chinoz could start eating when he feels better.

After two injections, some bloods tests and the over night IV fluids .. Doc says he's not vomiting anymore since last evening when he was admitted. This morning when we visited Chinoz at the vet, he's still shivering though but he had calmed down a little bit. He didn't like the idea of that e-collar a.k.a. plastic cone around him. We had no choice but to wear that on his neck to prevent him from biting the hypodermic needle (for the IV fluids) off his leg. This time around, when we saw him earlier, he could really bark - very loudly too (compared to a few days ago, he was really quiet) although he still looks weak.

Chinoz' blood 1st test result was out last night and the Doc says he doesn't have liver or kidney failure/disease. Hence that shows the possiblity of the two deadly disease is out our mind now. But there are some unclear indications in Chinoz' blood test that shows something else could have make him sick. Doc says if he's not feeling better these few days, they need to do the Pancreas test and some X-rays.

I really hope *keep my fingers crossed* and pray that Chinoz will get better soon. Do pray for him will ya'll? God bless .. xoxo~

Kellino's Home-Made Pasta #1

Day 54, 16th October 2009. Dark.

No one’s at home today. Mom and sister, Claudia, went to Thailand earlier this evening and my brother, Ashley, went out with his friends for their buddy’s birthday party. Since I’m alone at home and feeling a bit bored, I decided to do a ‘lil home cooking .. myself :)

First, you need to put the shell pastas to boil in a pot of water while you heat up the olive oil in a pan; then add in some chopped garlics (and onions if you have) and stir-fry it until fragrant.Once the pasta’s cooked, drained the water in the pot, rinsed pasta with cold tap water then put a tea-spoon of virgin olive oil to mixed it in a bowl and set it aside.

Next, add in some luncheon meat or sausages or minced beef (or chicken) into the hot pan to stir-fry for a minute or two. After that, add in pasta sauce (of your choice) and let it simmer for three minutes. Add some water if its too thick but if it is not, then you may add in some tomato sauce to thicken it a little. Then grind in some white / black peppers and add in a little bit of chili powder to enhance the flavor.

Place pasta in a nice serving bowl, add in the nicely cooked pasta sauce in the bowl, sprinkle some Coriander leaves .. and voila~

The One Behind 'Through My Window' Song

Hey peeps .. have you heard of this rock-ie song thingy that was aired on radio??

I heard it on air yesterday and it is a pretty kewl song (really). Since I was actually driving at that moment, I can't really grab hold of my phone in the my (extreme large) handbag on the passenger seat next to me *brrrgh!*. Wouldn't wanna go against the rules right? *yeah-right-look + my eyes rolling* :P

So, I missed out on using my 'Midomi' to check the song title and singer (online). And the crappy part was that the DJ did not even announce the band name too (well, they tend to not-do so sometimes anyway). I told myself, the Internet has everything .. just Google it.

So I got home, fling my bags on the sofa, rush to my room and switched on the notebook .. while it was booting up, I grab a glass of water .. back to the room, started Safari, logged on to Google and I entered: "Through my window, I can see there's more than you and more than me".

The search results was amazing! Google used 0.43 seconds to search and there's 120,000,000 results. Now, that's great. But which one is it??

I can see 'Sunshine through my window' - Nope.

'The moon through my window' - Nope.

'An angel fell through my window' - Nope. There isn't any 'angel' mentioned in the song.

'I see cows through my window' - Nope and it sounds weird.

'Fly through our window' - Nope. Why would they, we, him, her or me do so??

I also tried Googling bands like Fall Out Boys, Green Day and even The American Rejects. But it's not them.

And this morning, while I was checking papers (daily routine), this song thingy was all over the papers (and on Internet as well). No one has a clue of who this band is (except for themselves of course :P).

If you have not heard it, you should really check it out. It's simple yet rock-ish and a catchy song.

It sounded very similar to the "international" standard. I wouldn't be surprise if we have such talent(s) in Malaysia though. Be proud ya'll~

I find this really interesting. A good way of publicity and promotion .. no wonder we aren't hired by them :P They DIY (-T). Lolz..

I can't wait to know who they are.

So ATM, who ever you guys are .. rock it, babes!

Even Children Understands It; But The Adults Doesn't

Day 52, 17th September 2009. Sunny.

I took my sister along for newspapers monitoring (or checking) this morning before dropping her off to her dad's. While she was browsing through some articles in a paper, she spotted on an article about the Malaysian model Kartika Sari Dewi Shukarno's whipping case. She spent a few seconds to a minute to read the short article, and then she turned around, facing me and started asking me questions. We had a conversation that sounds like this:

"Jie, this Malay girl was caught drinking beer (alcohol)."

"Who? Another case pulak?"

"It's Kartika"

"Oh, it's her. Yeap .. she's a model it seems. She will be caned (rotan) - 6 strokes and will have to pay fines too."

"Huh? *She was starring at Kartika's picture* Model??"

"Yes, a model. Maybe for some local made products kot. Muslims can't consume alcohol ma .. and she's the first women who kena rotan in Malaysia if I'm not mistaken. There's a big hoo-haa about it. Never ending story and publicity for her."

"But there are so many Malay girls / women out there who drinks beer .. why they only catch her?"

"I guess she was unlucky"

"But takkan la there's only one girl in that pub (lounge) who drinks beer. A lot of them drinks actually. Almost everywhere .. in KL and even Hartamas. Especially Hartamas. Nothing really surprising (great) about it right?"

"Well, they felt that there's a newsworthiness in it .."

"But why are they (my sis is probably confused with the term 'media' in general and the particular newspaper 'paparazzi' / journalist) keep talking about her? Then can Indonesians drink beer also (as well)?"

"I suppose if they are Muslims, then the answer is No. But if they claim that they are Christians, then maybe they can do almost anything they want :)"

"Why don't they write about them (Indonesians or other Malays who drinks) in newspaper? Is it because she's (Kartika) 'somebody'?"

"'Somebody'? Nah~ I doubt so .. she's a normal Malaysian (model) citizen."

*And you can see that "weird-look" she had on her face .. with the sign of "OMG!"*

We left that conversation as it is and we continued our newspaper monitoring / checking.

It is funny how children can understand the concept of newsworthiness and illogical-lity in/of things happening around the world - or in the country - much better than the adults do.

No Drama Involved.

Day 51, 12th September 2009. Sun-rainy day.


*Grumbling..*

I have set-up the auto-post for my blog entries every few days (depending on the number of posts I have) previously, but nothing in my blog has changed .. and I just got to know it. What a smart ass!

This blog has been remained unchanged for exactly 2 months and 7 days now .. for me to be back here again, honestly, I'm kinda lost and I really don't know what to blog about.

There are so many things I want to share, too much in fact, but I don't know where to begin.

Never mind about the old-auto-post entries anymore. Screwed.

I was sick for some time .. it lasted about 3 weeks or so. It was bad, really, but I wasn't admitted in the hospital though *Thank God~*. And I am not dramatising anything here .. please.

This is what kept me out of being hospitalised :D

The amount of pills I have to take everyday .. gosh, the food I consume (after taking the pills continuously) was almost tasteless on the second med-day.

It does really look like sweets, right?

I can bet you, it even taste "y.u.m.m.i.e.r" than sweets *bleurk*

Despite being sick and all, I still need to work. But work isn't too hectic, I can still handle them (well). Business for us these past two months wasn't too bad too. Projects are coming in (we have sort of "retainer" client) but of course, my boss wouldn't complain "there is too much projects coming in, so please stop focusing on the business development" (hehe~), hence I still have to work :P

Talking about that, I need to get some work done .. like now before it slipped my mind again. So, I'll stop here for the time being and hopefully I'll be able to update more of the things that have happening around me .. soon.
